Saving Big: Black Friday Deals to Elevate Your Wedding
Personally, I’ve never been a big Black Friday person, so it almost surprises me that I’m writing about it.
But! I don’t want you to lose out on my top must-buy recommendations for these deals.
After all, Black Friday might just be your golden ticket to snagging fantastic deals on wedding essentials.
Biggest tip: Try different sites before you buy! For example, last year, The Knot had a 50% off Save the Dates sale, but the invitations were full price. Meanwhile on Vista Print, the Save the Dates were full price, but the Invitations were 50% off! It’s certainly worth checking.
Here’s my list:
Stationery
This includes Save the Dates, Invitations, RSVP cards, Thank You Notes, and Programs. Stamps are never on sale, so by these as-needed.
Decorations
Centerpieces like candles, votives, table number holders, and vases may be on sale right now. But keep in mind a way to either reuse them or sell them after your big day!
Attire & Accessories
Some shops offer good discounts on dresses and suits around Black Friday. Other good options: lingerie, jewelry, ties, chain tassle brooches, and shoes. (Those chain tassle brooches are dapper...)
Technology
For this, I mostly mean DSLR and Polaroid cameras for DIY photobooths. (Also did you know there’s a way to rent cameras like this? Might be a good deal on that too!)
Gifts, Favors, and Guest Books
Signage & Supplies for DIY signs
Honeymoon & Travel essentials
Luggage is the main one here. But keep an eye out for any travel card deals or other hotel steals.
Vendors
Some vendors offer specials around Black Friday, like free upgrades or discounts.
Things to skip over on Black Friday:
Don’t buy things that are traditionally rentals. Rentals are rentals for a reason. Last thing you want is to buy all of the tablecloths and napkins and have to figure out how to steam/iron them on your big day! And then sell them afterwards? I don’t want to do that, that’s for sure.
Registry items. Your registry items are going to go up in price when everything else does, so don’t go off of sales when considering what your guests may get you. They likely won’t get that deal!
Merry Savings, Happy Planning, and Warmest Wishes for this Black Friday and upcoming Holiday season!
Love always,
Katie Sautter
