When you choose us for your wedding, the candles and string-lights will be lit in an array around you, arranged on every table, every corner of the aisle, exactly as you wanted them. The smell of sweet peas and gardenias waft through the air by the ceremony alter. Your guests won’t notice the time pass, and the hors d'oeuvres will spin around them, the light from the big-bulbed string-lights overhead pouring onto the dinner scene. The DJ will know exactly how and when to announce you, and you and your loved ones can get to your dancefloor without worrying about the “how” or “why.” You’ll have every opportunity to be in the moment.
We specialize in bright, eco-conscious, sustainable weddings which focus on being green while saving you green. We especially love a vibrant color-palette and sensual spin. Never dull, flavorless, or gray! (Black and white is cool, though!)

About the Owner & Planner, Katie Sautter:

"I’ve been planning big events since 2019. I fell in love with weddings at a young age, and though I didn’t know it then, the weddings and school dances I’d attended in my teens transformed how I thought and what I wanted. A hopeless romantic, I’d always dreamed of meeting My Person. It took me years of dating and kissing many, many frogs, but when I finally found My Person, it all just clicked. Creating an event planning business felt the same: it just clicked. Years of schooling (too much maybe!) and a science career later, I turned to event planning to fill my soul with all the joy I could. This is what I love; it took me many years to figure it out. But. Now I’ve got it. And I’m giving it my all.”

What’s with the otters?
There’s lots of reasons for them.
Although “Sautter” rhymes with “otter,” it’s not the end of the story.
Not at all.
When the owner, Katie Sautter, was coming up with business names, she spent time looking up other planners. She found herself bored by dull sites that spoke to all the fish in the sea.
She wanted to stand out, to show her personality, and to represent love and joy in her own way.
When she came up with K.S.Otter Events, she fell in love with the name.
After all, who doesn’t love otters??
But there’s more to it than that.
River otters mate for life.
Otters have been seen holding hands. They’re monogamous. They love, live, and die together.
Otters are a symbol of everlasting love.
But she wanted to think about such a big decision- a business name means a lot!
She said, “I’ll give it a week of thought, and make a final decision then.”
But the very next day, as she strolled around a pond, she spotted two river otters playing. Not minks. Not dogs or squirrels or anything else.
She spotted OTTERS.
If there ever was a sign, it was this one.
And so, K.S.Otter Events finally had a name.
