What’s the deal with the otters in our branding?
Turns out, otters are a symbol of everlasting love. Otters have been seen holding hands. They’re monogamous. They love, live, and die together. That’s one reason why our owner, Katie Sautter, chose the otters for the brand.
She wanted to stand out from all the fish in the sea, show her personality, and represent love and joy in a unique way - much like we do for our couples! But, while choosing a name, Katie wanted to think about such a big decision - a business name means a lot! She said, “I’ll think about it for a week, and make a final decision then.”
The very next day, as she strolled around a pond, she spotted two river otters playing. Not minks, dogs, squirrels, or anything else. She spotted OTTERS. If there was ever a sign, it was this one.
Thus, K.S.Otter Events (pronounced K. S. Otter), was born.
