Well, friends… we’ve been keeping a little secret (honestly not-so-secret) over here. Our growing North Carolina wedding planning team has been working on something behind the scenes…

After months of behind-the-scenes dreaming, designing, and squealing over color swatches, K.S.Otter Events has a brand-new look and a shiny new website to match! And honestly? We’re otter-ly obsessed.

So what’s new with K.S.Otter Events?

First up: our hand-drawn otter illustration and the illustrated suite that extends beyond. It’s playful, personal, and tells the story of our brand, while still feeling elegant. This little otter has officially become the heart of our branding, and you’ll spot it throughout our website, cheering you on as you explore what we’re all about. Check out our new About page for more details on what’s up with the otter in the first place!

Then, there’s our signature teal. This color is more than just pretty. It represents the way we plan weddings: high-end, elevated, and professional… but never boring and always related to your unique story. Every K.S.Otter Events wedding is meant to feel as joyful and unique as the couples we serve. While we don’t have a set style (all styles welcome here!), we strive to make your design and experience like no other.

We partnered with Emily Foster Creative to master the new look.

Why the branding change?

We didn’t need a fully complete rebrand with a name change, but the look of our previous brand and site needed a refresh. It served its purpose for a time, and our founder and owner Katie is still in love with the original adorable otter logo that was custom designed. 

So, keeping the otter in the brand was a no-brainer. We brought in more of a thin line illustration that adds an elegant and graceful feel, while still feeling approachable.

We wanted our new website to give you the full K.S.Otter experience that you get from your North Carolina wedding planning team.
