In a world of pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, cooler weather, and people who are foaming at the mouth for all the above and more, you might feel left out.
Even though I admit to being Basic on some of those items (goodness I love fall decor and apple cider) I also hear from a lot of people that autumn just doesn’t tickle their fancy. I get it- as someone who greatly prefers hot weather, autumn reminds me exactly of what’s to come.
Here are 5 tips if this title speaks to you:
Find a different style that works with your surroundings, not against it.
Example: Pick royal blues, romantic reds, deep burgundies, or dark forest greens together with creams, light pinks, or pastel oranges to contrast and complement autumn weather without screaming to the heavens that it’s fall.
Also, focusing on your own style is a great way to not focus on any given season.
Choose an indoor venue and/or rent outdoor space heaters.
Apple cider not your thing but lemonade is? Replace it! You have the power – This is your wedding. You can even DIY a cheeky little sign to say “Bride’s a summer gal- she wanted lemonade.”
Communicate the vibe you want clearly to your photographers, videographers, florists, and other vendors.
Don’t feel pressured to do “Fall things” if you don’t want to. Remember that you’re in charge!
Don’t forget to have fun with it!
With love,
